Our PLAST‑AX lids for front lift bins represent a major advancement in the Australia waste industry, eliminating the long-standing issue of broken lids that were common with the older steel bin and plastic lid setup.

A clean fiberglass hinge rod keeps the lids and dumpster connected. It’s secured by a 1/8 in stainless steel split pin that sits neatly recessed at the hinge. Please make sure your team installs the supplied split pins – this ensures the hinge rod stays correctly positioned throughout repeated emptying cycles.

Bin Lid Options

It’s bins and lids together, that’s the key.

Designed, manufactured, and supplied by the same team, both the bin and lids are built to work as one system. The fiberglass hinge rod adds flexibility, allowing the container and lids to move together on impact – then return to their original position without damage.

In contrast, steel bin hinge rods often bend and stay bent after impact. This leaves the plastic lid sitting at an angle, making it vulnerable to damage during future collections. The PLAST-AX system prevents this issue by allowing the entire unit to flex and recover as one.

Lids are finished, stored, and stacked in custom-built stillages at PLAST-AX. We take great care with jigging and storage to ensure each lid maintains its proper shape and long-term polymer memory.

Lid pairs can be supplied in any color to match your company branding or to help identify different waste streams – for example, light gray for cardboard and yellow for mixed recycling.
